Budget Proposals For Portsmouth Revealed

Portsmouth Conservatives have unveiled a number of proposals aimed at helping those most in need, incentivising people to help in the community and putting local people first. We've listed a few of our proposals below:

¨ 10% Off Council Tax For Over 65’s
           ...to help those on fixed incomes.
¨ No Rise In Parking Charges
           ...to stop fleecing the motorist
¨ Zero Council Tax For Special Constables
            ...to encourage more people to volunteer to keep our streets safe.
 Four Yearly Elections
            ...to save money and increase stability
¨ Support Local Homes For Local People
           ...so local people can live close to family
¨ More Facilities For Young People
           ...to give our youngsters places to go to have fun
 
¨ Move Out Of The Civic Offices
         ...to save money on buildings maintenance
¨ Review Unfilled Vacancies
         ...to increase job security for existing staff whilst saving money.
¨ 10 Year Support For Copnor Fire Station
...putting money where our mouth was would have sent a huge signal to the Fire Authority.
